Habit and Behaviour Change Coaching is a supportive and practical approach designed to help you make small, meaningful shifts that fit your real life. This isn’t about discipline, strict rules or chasing perfection. It’s about understanding your routines, lifestyle patterns and mindset so you can create habits that feel natural - not forced.

Rather than focusing on dieting or quick wins, we work gradually and intentionally. Together, we explore your nutrition, sleep, stress, movement, and daily rhythms, the foundations of wellbeing, through a holistic lens. As a registered health coach, I guide you in noticing what’s helping, what’s draining you, and where gentle adjustments can create long-term change.

You don’t need to overhaul your life to feel better. You simply need a way forward that is realistic, flexible and built around you.

What is Habit and Behaviour Change Coaching?

Who This Coaching Is For

This approach is designed for women who want change, but feel stuck between good intentions and real-life demands. You might recognise yourself in some of these:

  • You feel tired or flat most days, even when you’re trying to be “healthy.”

  • You start habits with enthusiasm but struggle to stay consistent.

  • You hit afternoon energy crashes that throw the rest of your day off.

  • You feel overwhelmed by conflicting health advice and don’t know what to trust.

  • You want structure and clarity, but not restriction or pressure.

  • You’re motivated to feel better — but consistency is the hard part.

If this sounds familiar, Habit and Behaviour Change Coaching can give you the clarity, support and direction you’ve been missing.

How Behaviour Change Coaching Works

Behaviour change is most successful when it’s simple, kind and steady. My role is to help you take small steps that build confidence and momentum rather than trying to change everything in one go.

Here’s what the process looks like:

We start small

Instead of ambitious routines that only work for a week, we look for the easiest possible next step. The goal is progress you can actually maintain.

We focus on what fits your real life

Your schedule, your family, your energy, your preferences — these matter. Every habit we work on is tailored to your unique circumstances.

We build awareness before taking action

Understanding your current patterns gives you power. We explore what triggers certain behaviours, what supports you, and what gets in the way. From there, change becomes more natural.

We create routines that are flexible, not rigid

Life changes — your habits should adapt with it. Flexible routines help you stay consistent without feeling restricted.

We review, adjust and encourage

Habit change is ongoing. We reflect on what’s working, adjust what isn’t and celebrate the small wins that build long-term confidence.

What we will work on

Nutrition

Building sustainable eating habits is about more than knowing what to eat; it's about understanding why you eat the way you do and creating patterns that actually stick.

We'll explore your current relationship with food and identify practical, realistic changes that fit your life. I'll help you develop habits that support your health goals without relying on willpower or perfection, so healthy eating becomes natural, not forced.

Sleep

Improving your sleep isn't just about going to bed earlier; it's about building consistent routines and habits that signal to your body it's time to rest.

If sleep feels inconsistent or elusive, we'll work together to establish a sustainable evening routine and identify the habits that are helping or hindering your rest, so quality sleep becomes a reliable part of your life.

Stress

Your habits are deeply connected to how you think and feel. Stress, self-doubt, and overwhelm can derail even your best intentions, making it hard to stay consistent.

We'll explore what's getting in the way of the changes you want to make, and I'll guide you through tools to manage stress, shift your mindset, and build the resilience you need to create lasting change.

Movement

Making movement a consistent habit is about finding what works for you, not forcing yourself into routines that don't fit your life or preferences.

Together, we'll build a sustainable movement practice that you actually enjoy and can maintain long term, so staying active becomes something you look forward to, not something you dread.

Why Habit Change Matters

Lasting wellbeing doesn’t come from intensity, strict rules or all-or-nothing efforts. It comes from the small habits you repeat day after day. These habits shape your energy, your confidence, your sense of balance and how you move through the world.

When you focus on consistency instead of perfection, changes that once felt impossible suddenly become achievable. Over time, this is what leads to meaningful lifestyle transformation - the kind that feels empowering, steady and truly your own.

This is the foundation of my work as a lifestyle transformation coach: supporting you as you build habits that make you feel more grounded, energised and in control of your wellbeing.

I am based in Roslin, Scotland and I do most of my work online. If you live locally and would prefer face-to-face sessions, let me know and I will do my best to accommodate you.

I am a French native speaker so I can also conduct the sessions in French if that is a preferable option.

Testimonials

  • I would strongly recommend Laurene to anyone who is trying to get healthier by making meaningful changes in their life habits. I cannot express how positive my experience with Laurene has been. From the first session, Laurene built a caring and trustworthy environment. She took time to understand my unique challenges, my daily routines and helped me define my goals. Laurene provided me with a custom-made health plan along with advice and strategies to apply it to my daily life. She really managed to set up achievable and reasonable goals which allowed me to feel successful and empowered, in contrast to all the diets I tried along the years! With her expert guidance, I learned a lot about nutrition, exercise but also about the importance of self-care. As a scientist, I particularly appreciated her health advice was based on trustworthy studies. The support and encouragement I received along the follow-up sessions were invaluable. Thanks to her expertise and dedication, I’m achieving my goals, and feeling better and healthier!

  • Laurene's support and guidance have been invaluable to help me focus on my health. Together, through relaxed sessions, she helped me identify key and achievable goals. Laurene created a non-judgmental environment where we were able to explore my health concerns, and to come up with ways to improve my wellbeing. Overall I feel now more confident in myself and I have incorporated these new practices in my daily life. I would highly recommend Laurene, who will gently steer you towards a healthier path.

    - Sandrine, 35

  • I came along to Laurene for coaching as I was feeling so tired in general and demotivated with weight loss. Laurene spent time going into detail about my lifestyle and daily habits. After a long chat she came up with a plan which included small, simple changes which are manageable with my busy lifestyle. She gave me some good supporting information in my plan which included information about making drinking more water easier and different ideas for healthier snacks. These are so important for energy levels and weight loss which I did already know but she made it easier for me to actually put it into my routine. She looked at how many hours I slept and how this was having a huge impact on my daily life and came up with a plan. By sticking to the coaching plan I feel so much better for it.
