Cocoa and almond energy balls

A delicious snack to keep you going during the day

These energy balls are quick to make, naturally sweet, and perfect for when you need something satisfying between meals. They are made with simple ingredients and come together in just a few minutes.

They are ideal for busy days, whether you need a mid afternoon pick me up or something to grab on the go.

This is the kind of simple snack I often recommend as a health coach, especially for supporting energy levels without relying on highly processed options.

Cocoa and almond energy balls

makes 12 balls - 10 minutes

Ingredients

75g almonds

6/7 dates, pitted (if they are dry, soak them in hot water for 10 min)

40g unsweetened cocoa powder

70g maple syrup

80g almond butter

desiccated coconut (optional)

Preparation

Put the almonds and dates in a food processor, mix until crumbly.

Add the cocoa powder, maple syrup and almond butter, mix until the mixture forms a ball and sticks together.

Roll into golf-ball shapes, roll into desiccated coconut if you wish, then refrigerate or eat straightaway!

The energy balls will keep for a week in the fridge.

How this fits into a balanced lifestyle
